**Job Title**: Refuge Worker (South Asian Language Speaker)

Do you have a minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, helping vulnerable individuals and families in crisis? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to make a meaningful impact as a Refuge Worker in the Brent area.

**About Us**:
Our organization is dedicated to providing support, safety, and empowerment to individuals and families facing difficult circumstances. As a Refuge Worker, you will play a vital role in assisting and advocating for those in need, particularly within the South Asian community.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Provide emotional support and crisis intervention to individuals and families within the refuge.
- Assist residents in their daily needs, including accessing services, legal assistance, and medical support.
- Conduct assessments to determine clients' needs and develop individualized support plans.
- Advocate on behalf of clients and collaborate with external agencies and organizations to ensure their well-being.
- Maintain accurate records and reports in accordance with organizational standards.
- Ensure the safety and security of refuge residents at all times.
- Promote cultural sensitivity and understanding within the refuge.

**Requirements**:

- Fluent in a South Asian language (e.g., Hindi, Punjabi, Bengali, Urdu, Tamil).
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar refuge worker role.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Compassion, empathy, and the ability to work with diverse populations.
- Knowledge of domestic violence and its impact on individuals and families.
- Understanding of cultural nuances within the South Asian community.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
- Commitment to maintaining client confidentiality.

**Working Hours**:
This is a full-time, permanent role with standard working hours.
