Assistant Caretaker

Streatham & Clapham High School (SCHS) seeks to appoint an enthusiastic and friendly person to join a busy Premises team, to assist with the day-to-day running of the sites at both the Prep and Senior Schools.

As an Assistant Caretaker, you will be an integral part of the Premises team where you will assist with the day-to-day running of the school sites. You will assume a wide range of responsibilities, including general maintenance, property and grounds safety, security, and supervision of our cleaning staff.

You will work on a rota system, ensuring that our premises are attended to throughout the day and during out-of-hours lettings. Additionally, you may also be required to drive the school minibuses on occasion, therefore a D1 driving qualification would be beneficial.

You will be a friendly, positive and cheerful individual, who possess a keen awareness of health and safety protocols. You will be reliable and punctual and will be capable of working effectively as part of a team. You will be comfortable with flexible working hours and overtime, as you will be required to work at least two weekends a month.
