£10.41 per hour inclusive of Holiday Pay.
The roles are based on 39 hours per week Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm for Contractor Escort.
Purpose of the Escort role:
As part of the security team you will be responsible for assisting in the safety and security of the establishment where your duties will include escorting visitors, building contractors, gate duties within the prison and outside areas. You will ensure thesafety and security of the visitors, staff and prisoners within a Prison establishment, while persons from outside of NOMS are on site. You will also ensure that no unauthorised persons or items enter the establishment. Sussex Prisons have an excellent reputationas busy local prisons, which serve all the courts in the South East. Radio operation & handling
Supervision of visitors & contractors on site
Contractor Tool checks
Patrolling perimeter and grounds
Health & Safety Procedures
Routine administrative work
**Experience**:
No formal qualifications or previous experience is required for this role.
Full training is provided by the establishment/ department. Training time will be paid at the standard hourly rate.
Security Clearance required:
Immediate start if you are already Prison Cleared.
