**Main description**:
Reporting to the Facilities and Maintenance Manager the Maintenance Apprentice Technician will be responsible for learning all aspects of the factory facilities, layout and machinery but in particular the automated machinery in the TGW warehouse.

- Ensure that plant and equipment perform to the required standard to facilitate production targets regarding Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost
- Work on and learn a broad range of activities including installation, testing, faultfinding and the on-going planned maintenance of complex automated equipment
- Use and interpret a range of engineering data sources and supporting Documentation
- Maintain mechanical & automated equipment
- Maintain fluid & pneumatic power equipment
- Maintain electrical control equipment
- Maintain process control equipment
- Minimise machinery downtime by carrying out preventative planned Maintenance
- Learn how to use and interpret a range of engineering data sources and supporting documentation

**Training to be Provided**:

- Level 2 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Foundation Competence)
- BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Development Knowledge)
- Level 3 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Development Competence)

**Things to consider**:

- On commencement of your first year off the job training at MGTS, the company working hours will be: Monday to Thursday 08:00 - 17:00 Friday 08:00 - 12 noon (38 hours)**Future Prospects**:

- On successful completion of the four year programme, individuals will be awarded the Apprenticeship Standard for an Engineering Technician (Level 3). Completion of an individual assessment will be undertaken to determine whether a full time position will be offered.**Location**:
