This is an exciting opportunity to join a brand new team at a newly refurbished Pub / Restaurant just 3 miles from Cambridge City centre. You will be working alongside the new owners who wish to create an all occasion "great village pub" and "a fantasticdestination food pub" at the heart of the village and surrounding areas.

As a Restaurant / Pub Manager with a minimum of 3 years demonstrable experience you will understand that this is a varied role where no 2 days are the same. You will ensure the seamless running of the business in the most efficient and effective manner deliveringthe highest possible standards of service, whilst being pro-active in maintaining and/or improving profitability.

**Main Duties and Responsibilities**
- Develop and maintain high levels of Customer Service at all times
- Ensure that the department is fully stocked at all times
- Maintain a daily / weekly monthly budget and report
- To maintain the highest standard of cleanliness and maintenance of furnishings and equipment
- To be fully trained and ensure that your staff are fully trained on the epos system
- To ensure you have a thorough understanding of and adhere to company regulations in particular the policies and procedures relating to fire, hygiene and safety.
- Manage all department employees
- Agree and support implementation of sales actions
- Create and deliver sales promotions and staff incentives
- Ensure all upselling opportunities are maximised
- Support the creation of a departmental sales plan in conjunction with the other Managers and owners.
- Control costs without compromising standards - uniform, cutlery, crockery
- Forecast potential revenue and costs
- Develop and encourage positive, direct and open relationships amongst all colleagues
- To build and maintain an efficient team of employees, driving the team towards the objectives of the business
- To promote the training and development of staff to ensure standards are maintained, and monitor all training and development within the department
- Regularly review individual and team performance against objectives and provide feedback through "walkabouts" 1:1’s and team meetings
- Understand and maintain all Health and Safety relevant to your department and the business.
- Ensure a safe working place for both your colleagues and guests.
- Preparation of rosters in line with forecasting
- Ensure staffing levels reflect business demands maintaining productivity levels
- Communicating and delegating duties to the team
- Ensure each shift is reviewed and handovers/briefings are carried out
- Be responsible for performance management and aware of ratings through Trip Advisor, Google and other platforms
