**Grounds Operative** - The Role:
To be part of a team providing a full range of Grounds services to Dragon School. To maintain the grounds and gardens at both the Prep and Pre-Prep sites including certain residential properties

**Grounds Operative** - Key Responsibilities:

- Assisting with the preparation and maintenance of sports and amenity surfaces including, strimming, and line marking
- Being fully knowledgeable of the Health and Safety regulations pertaining to not only the grounds activities and plant machinery, but also the general School environment
- Displaying at all times a thorough understanding of legislation relating to chemicals and dangerous substances
- Promoting safe working practices
- As required by the Head of Estates, assisting in the performance of other “whole team” duties occasionally undertaken by all members of the Estates team (for example Open Days, Sport Days, and Dragon Sale)

**Grounds Operative** - You:

- Full driving license
- (NCQ/IOG etc) in ground’s maintenance and sports turf management
- Safe Use of Pesticides Knapsack Sprayer PA1/PA6
- Formal Manual Handling
- Formal training in chainsaw use
- General Health and Safety awareness
- Knowledge and proficient use of grounds and gardening machinery
- At least 3 years practitioner experience in a ground’s maintenance environment

The appointee will be entitled to membership of the Dragon School Group Personal Pension Scheme administered through Royal London. A flexible Defined Contribution scheme will be offered to all teaching staff with a minimum employee contribution of 2% anda maximum employer contribution of 12%.
