Receptionist opportunity - we are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual who is interested in a receptionist role within the NHS. You will gain invaluable experience being part of busy and dynamic administration team supporting a multi-disciplinary team to deliver a service of excellence to its users. You will gain and develop a range of skills within a demanding environment working with the Specialist Psychotherapy Services and Eating Disorders Service.
The Specialist Psychotherapy Service offers treatment, consultation and advice to adults aged 18 and over who are experiencing complex mental health difficulties that have not responded to previous treatment. It is split into two specialist teams, the Mood, Anxiety and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder Psychotherapy Service (MAPPS) and the Personality/Complex Trauma Team.
The Eating Disorder Service provide support and treatment to people aged 16 and over who have a moderate or severe eating disorder, such as anorexia or bulimia.
This role will work as part of a team to deliver an effective and efficient friendly reception service to all patients and visitors. Additionally, the roles will provide administrative support to the service as directed by senior colleagues.
You will be employed on a 12-month fixed term contract working 37.5 hours per week.

- Establish and maintain effective relationship with colleagues and other departments.
- Ensure that processes are carried out in accordance with documented procedures, protocols, schedules, and deadlines.
- Provide general clerical and administrative support across a range of duties.
- Work on reception meeting and greeting patients and visitors.
- Safe use of office equipment e.g., photocopier, scanner, and computers.
- Resolve routine queries and enquires from clients, managers, and employees.
- Assist colleagues in preparation for meetings and training.
- Answer telephone enquiries, recording accurate messages accordingly.
- Help maintain effective and efficient office systems
- Maintain confidentially in all aspects of work.
- Assist with the preparation of set up meetings, setting rooms, equipment and material as required.
- To provide appropriate reception duties for the department.
- Throughout the training period the post holder will be expected to complete all educational and training as required.
- Undertake any other reasonable general/clerical duties commensurate with this role
- Maintain accurate levels of all stationery and stock.
Management/Human Resources
- Maintain a flexible and responsive approach to tasks whist self-directing workload through careful time management within broad procedural guidelines.
Other/General Admin
- Maintain and update existing electronic or hard copy filing systems.
- Administration support including a full range of reception duties.
