Internal Audit

Broster Buchanan are recruiting for a Internal Auditor to join a ever growing head office based in Peterborough. If you have experience in Audit or Compliance check out the below details.
This is a new role to support the Head of Internal Audit in the delivery of the risk-based Internal Audit plan and ad-hoc projects. The role will involve UK travel for audit fieldwork and also carry out audit testing of central office functions ensuring thatcontrols are in place and operating effectively. There will be opportunities to study for a relevant auditing qualification and to further develop their career.
- Contribute to the planning of audits.
- Undertake audit fieldwork as directed - ensuring that controls are in place and verifying information.
- Complete assigned work to a high standard.
- Communicate effectively with the Head of Internal Audit to ensure visibility of issues and progress of assigned work.
- Follow up on audit actions/recommendations made and provide status updates to the Head of Internal Audit.
- Assist in the production, collation and distribution of audit reports.
- Produce documentation and correspondence to a timely and accurate standard.
- Contribute to developing the audit plan.
Person Specification
- Experience in an internal or external audit role is desirable;
- Working towards or willing to study for a recognised professional auditing or accountancy qualification e.g. IIA, AAT, CIA, CIMA, ACCA.
- Very good working knowledge of ICT systems, particularly Excel.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Very good attention to detail, accuracy and timeliness.
- Self-motivator with an appetite and commitment to learn.
Salary - £28,000 - £32,000 (can flex for correct person)
