**Title: Grounds and Maintainance.**

**Department(s): Production**

**Reports To: Head of Production**

**Hours**:You should expect to work a minimum of 40 hours per week according to business needs and production schedules as drawn-up and agreed by the Head of Production. You should be available from Monday to Sunday, 5 days per week with variable start and finish times according to the requirements of the business.

**Job Summary**

As Grounds and Maintainance person at the Annandale Distillery Group, you will be responsible for the competent and successful delivery of all duties as detailed below. You will ensure that all internal areas and all external grounds associated with all of Annandale Distillery’s businesses and sites, are kept tidy and aesthetically pleasing and otherwise in-line with good health and safety practices. You will also keep track of the individual sites’ tool inventories, and otherwise keep the equipment well maintained. You will also deliver the highest quality in terms of attention of detail, to all areas. Wherever possible, you will do your utmost to enhance the visitor experience at our sites by providing exceptional service and hospitality, at all times.

Main Duties: all pertaining to all of Annandale Distillery’s sites, including but not limited to, Annandale Distillery, The Globe Inn, Dumfries and Comlongon Estate.
- Monitor and address maintenance needs of the all external grounds including car park
- Gardening and general grounds maintenance.
- Monitor and assist in the maintenance of all buildings.
- Manage and maintain all equipment/inventory.
- Monthly maintenance checks in line with health and safety regulations.
- Conduct general filling store and warehousing operations, including cask filling.
- Assisting in regular inspection of casks.
- Assist in taking cask samples.
- Take safe delivery of site consumables such as malt, casks, yeast and cleaning materials etc.
- Operate the distillery’s forklift, consistent with training policies, certification and health and safety standards, completing all check sheets and risk assessments.
- Ad hoc duties depending on business needs including but limited to: Clean company vehicles, Wash forecourt, washing of windows, Empty bins etc
- Painting and Decorating duties as required.
- Driving licence is essential for this job.
- This job involves lots of heavy lifting and manual handling.

**Salary**: From £12.50 per hour
