**Job Title**: Warehouse Operative

**Reporting to**: Warehouse Manager

**SUMMARY OF POSITION**:
Reporting directly to the Warehouse Manager the overall purpose is to assist, as directed, with the efficient day to day running of all areas of the warehousing operation including quality, performance and efficiency.

To assist with the smooth running of the general warehouse operation.

RESPONSIBILITIES

To co-ordinate the receiving and inspection of deliveries, ensuring that safe unloading procedures are followed.

Receiving and checking deliveries to and from clients within the agreed schedule and working on any other assigned warehouse duties

To ensure that incoming materials are stored, stacked and distributed according to company procedures.

To assist with the location of stock and stock levels by participating in stock taking and cycle counting.

To process all necessary documentation within the Warehouse and complete all relevant system transactions.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES

Minimum of English and maths GCSEs

Good sound knowledge of warehousing functions

Functional / Technical competencies

Promote the correct professional company image at all times.

Communicate in a manner that promotes constructive discussion

Attend and participate in Company meetings as and when required.

Be aware that at times it may be necessary to work outside the usual hours of operation to maximize sales potential.

Maintain absolute confidentiality with regards to all company information.

Maintain a safe working environment in accordance with the Health and Safety at Work Act and the Company's Health and Safety Policy.

Attention to detail

Continuous improvement - have a “can do” “how can we?” attitude

Maintain the security of the warehouse

To carry out any reasonable requests that your Manager or the Company may require, that may fall outside your normal duties, to ensure the continued efficient running of the Company
