**Kitchen Leader - MOXY Plymouth**

This position is based on a full-time contract.

Gross Salary: £competitive

How exciting would it be to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment preparing the food for our guests and ensuring they leave with a great all round experience?

We are looking for someone to take ownership of our kitchen operation at Moxy Plymouth. We are a busy hotel where guests are looking for quick but nutritious meals.

You don’t need to be a chef but you do need to have a passion for food, be organised, and be able to work under pressure.

You will be working alone within the kitchen operation ably assisted by a kitchen porter and front of house crew and crew leader

**Main Tasks & responsibilities**:

- Prepare food using Merry chefs
- Present food in line with brand standards
- Preparation, set-up, service, clean up and restocking of the appropriate prep areas of food
- Restock, take deliveries, plan orders, and organize BOH areas
- Cleanliness of the kitchen area
- Full ownership of FIFO system (first in first out) of food items
- Follow all food safety policies to work safely
- Food handling according to HACCP regulations (product rotation, temperature maintenance and record keeping, storage procedures etc.)
- Ability to work collaboratively with the captain to ensure success of the business
- A positive attitude and ability to create a buzz in your kitchen t

**We’re looking for someone with Moxie, which is all of these things**:

- Have high energy and a fearless do-it-yourself attitude
- Passionate about Food & Beverage
- Skilled multi tasker who can balance hard work with great service and thinking ahead
- Clear communicator fluent in English (and other languages a plus)

**Useful Experience**:

- Experience of Merry Chef and Combi ovens would be advantageous, but not essential as training will be given
- Experience within the service industry
- Knowledge of Food Safety & Licensing laws
- Personal experience of travel and travel industry
