Venn Group is currently working with an NHS Trust, based in Surrey, who are recruiting for multiple full-time and part-time Clinical Coders to join their dynamic team. You will be required to analyse and abstract complex clinical information from patient records.
**Hourly Rate: £19.96 PAYE inc hp**
**Location: Surrey (remote and hybrid available)**
**IR35 Status: Inside**
**Duration: TBC**
**Responsibilities**:
- Analyse and abstract complex diagnostic and procedural information from patient records across all clinical specialties
- Translate diagnostic and procedural information and enter coding onto the Trust’s PAS via encoding software
- Routinely access all electronic clinical systems available to ensure all relevant details are recorded for each patient spell
- Maintain high levels of concentration for long periods to ensure all discharged patient spells are coded by SUS submission deadlines
- Assist in resolving coding queries as raised by members of the Clinical Coding team, sharing expertise and assisting in the interpretation of complex information ensuring national standards are met
- Regularly liaise with clinical staff from all specialties and discuss and understand complex diagnoses and procedures where it is necessary in order to assign accurate coding
- An ACC or NCCQ qualification
- Practical experience of working in a clinical coding
- Cerner Millennium experience
