Are you passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs? Do you have experience working with challenging behaviours in a school setting? If so, Axcis have an exciting opportunity for you to join a dedicated team as a Full-Time Teaching Assistant supporting students with SEMH in Liverpool.

Role and Responsibilities:

- Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with SEMH needs, assisting them in accessing the curriculum and achieving their academic goals.
- Implement strategies and interventions to support students in managing their emotions, behaviour, and social interactions within the school environment.
- Collaborate with teaching staff, SENCO, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and behaviour management plans.
- Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued, respected, and safe.
- Monitor and record student progress, behaviour, and engagement, providing feedback to teachers and parents as needed.
- Assist with classroom management and organization, including preparing resources and materials for lessons.

**Requirements**:

- Experience working with students with SEMH needs and challenging behaviours in a school or similar educational setting.
- Knowledge of SEMH strategies, interventions, and best practices.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents/carers.
- Patience, empathy, and resilience when working with students facing emotional and behavioural challenges.
- Relevant qualifications or training in education, special education, or a related field is desirable but not essential.
