Autism Support Assistant

I am currently supporting one of my partner Secondary Schools in finding a Teaching Assistant to work in their specialist Autism support provisions. The Cardiff School we work closely with have specified they are looking for somebody to work as a TeachingAssistant supporting pupils that have been diagnosed with Autism and are highlighted to need extra support.The schools Autism provision is led by a number of specialist Teacher that you will liaise with and support throughout the school day. They have specifiedthat the suitable TA is able to support with Key Stage 3& 4 pupils who access their education between the onsite provision and the mainstream school. This role will support learning for pupils who need support with social, emotional behaviour including their wellbeing& mental health.

Possibility of a school contract being offered after a successful probation period
This Secondary School is located centrally in Mitcham and is easily accessible by public transport for non-drivers. There is also parking on site and the school would ask you arrive to start the day at 8:15am. This would be a perfect role for someone lookingfor a career in Teaching and wanting to gain classroom management skills prior to embarking on this career.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
