Responsibilities:
To understand and know the roles and job descriptions of the domestic and laundry teams
- To understand how all the equipment in the laundry works
- To ensure that all the general wash has been laundered
- To ensure that the personal clothes of the residents have been washed
- To ensure that all the draw sheets and bed sheets have been dried and ironed
- To ensure that the ironing has been completed where possible
- To ensure that the residents clothes have been returned to their rooms preferably within 24 hours
- To ensure that the residents clothes have names, and room numbers, and that they are in a state of good repair and attend to where necessary
- To ensure that the laundry is left in a clean state with all the equipment wiped down and the iron switched off when not in use
- To report to the housekeeper if there are any shortages of linen, blankets, towels or flannels
- To understand the Health and Safety Policies and to ensure their implementation to maintain the safety and well being of the residents, staff, and visitors
- To report any equipment that requires attention as soon as possible to maintenance or the nurse in charge

**Skills**:

- Attention to detail to ensure high-quality cleaning and folding of linens
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload
- Good physical stamina to stand for long periods of time and lift heavy loads
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate with other staff members

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 30 per week

**Salary**: From £10.50 per hour

Expected hours: 30 per week
