EMPWR provides services to schools and communities across Leicestershire. Our trusted programmes are utilised by local authorities, many schools, colleges and communities across the city and county offering high-quality sports, and mentoring provision to children and young people.

Due to our ongoing expansion, we are offering a part-time opportunity for an experienced and passionate coach to successfully delivery school-based, and community-based mentoring, including our EMPWR Connects programme and lunch-time sports leagues alongside supporting community-based sessions to support young people with life-skills, self-belief and career choices.

Being able to start immediately is essential.

We are looking for a passionate individual who has previous coaching experience in schools and community environments. This role is a 20-hour working week and consists of the delivery/coaching of sports leagues and knowledge pertaining to the PSHE framework in a secondary school environment.

**Role details**:

- _Term time; Monday - Friday, delivering sessions to associated schools/communities._
- _Working throughout the academic year is essential, some half term and holiday periods are required._
- _Pay grade varies on experience and qualifications, and there is plenty of opportunity for quick progression._
- _20 hour per week position. _
- _Salary: £12,150 pro-rata (FTE £24,300)_
- _Overtime amounting to 35 hours per week during half-term holiday camp weeks._

**Main Roles and Responsibilities**:

- _The delivery of school based sports sessions and sports leagues._
- _The _delivery _of PSHE framework_
- _Assisting with any administrative tasks given by your line manager._
- _Undertaking relevant training and qualifications to improve your performance._
- _Create and follow performance reviews with participants on a monthly basis. Using these reports to provide feedback and tailor future sessions._
- _Keep track of participation and identify areas of _personal _growth_

**Essential Requirements**:

- _At least 2 years' experience in Sports Coaching (preferably with KS3-KS4)._
- _Delivering PSHE and life-skill related workshops. _
- _Valid, clean enhanced DBS._
- _Safeguarding & First aid training, or willing to undertake prior to commencing with us._
- _Qualified to drive and have access to a car with a clean driver's license_
- _Right to work in the UK_
- _University Degree_
- _Able to work in small and large groups of students. _
- **Desirables;**_
- _Experience in administrative duties_
- _Level 2 NGB qualification in sport. _
- _Experience in delivering in busy events and sports camps._
- _Having worked in an education establishment_
- _NGB Level 2/3 Qualification_
- _Qualifications in a variety of sports_

**Interviews**

Will take place on Monday 14th and Tuesday 15th August between 9am - 3pm. If shortlisted, you will also be required to deliver a practical assessment at one of our camps the following day.
