CNC Machine Operator

Here at Martin Baker, we’re looking for a motivated CNC Machine Operator to come and join our team.

Known internally as Cell Operative, you’ll set and operate 5 axis and 4 axis CNC machines, carry out basic maintenance on the machines and follow quality procedures to ensure standards are achieved. Ensuring you’re always adhering to health and safety regulations,you’ll use CMM and conventional measuring techniques to complete inspections.

We’re ideally like you to have some experience operating CNC machines, however if you’ve got Machine Shop experience, then we’d like to hear from you, too

Strong communication skills and attention to detail, a self-starter who can work on their own initiative, you’ll have great administration skills and will be comfortable working in a team. Although we’re not looking for CNC Programmers, we’d like you tohave some knowledge of programming as you’ll be expected to liaise confidently with the production department. Knowledge of CMM would be extremely beneficial and you must be able to interpret component drawings.

**Shift information**:

- You’ll either work an Early (06:00 - 16:00) or a Late (12:00 - 22:00) each day; a late shift will never be followed by an early shift_._
- In a standard year 177 shifts are worked (178 in a leap year).
- You’ll work 26 weekends each year.
- Within the pattern there is factored in a fixed two week holiday period where the manager cannot allocate shifts against.
