Due to a period of growth Mears are now looking to recruit a Gas Tutor-Assessor,

this fantastic opportunity is a great opportunity for a Gas, Pluming or Heating Engineer looking for a new direction in their career OR an experienced Gas Tutor or Assessor looking to join a developing and award winning organisation.

**This is a permanent position offering a Salary up to £29,000, located in Rotherham the role will also include occasional travel to our training academy in Brentwood, Essex.**

**The role**:
As a Gas Tutor - Assessor you will have vast industry experience and knowledge. You will deliver practical and theoretical learning programmes to gas engineers and plumbing specialists so that they are able to achieve their full range of qualifications. The role will also include upskilling our existing workforce in basic plumbing and helping plumbers to achieve their domestic gas qualifications.

The focus will be to protect and enhance the Mears brand, positioning Mears as a socially responsible business, a leading provider of housing services, a different kind of care business & a great place to work.

**About You**:
Substantial commercial experience as a Gas or Heating engineer or E xperience of working as a tutor and Assessor
- Current Domestic ACS in CNN1, CENWAT, CPA1, CKR, HTR, WAT1, MET1 Legionella, Water Regs, ACOPS
- Level 3 Teaching Qualification (PTTLS or higher)
- Assessors Qualification (A1 or TAQA)
- Knowledge and experience of delivering current ACS, GAS and construction qualifications
- Experience working with young people and Adults
- IT literate, proficient in use of MS Software (Word and Power point, virtual classroom delivery)
- Excellent organisational, administration and communication skills
- Committed to equality and diversity, health, safety and safeguarding.
- Full Driving Licence required
- Committed to on-going personal and professional development

**How will your average day look and feel?**
Work with stakeholders in a consultative role to identify key training needs to improve business performance and individuals’ skills and knowledge.

Manage a wide range of learning and development projects.

Create and deliver high quality training resources and ensure timely delivery of programmes.

Where appropriate, develop learning programmes that lead to nationally recognised qualifications.

Project manage the implementation of learning into the business, and ensure that earning has the necessary steps in place both before and following the programme to enable return of investment.

Always ensure high quality of delivery of all training programmes, provide coaching and mentoring to those who are delivering training programmes across the business,

Co-operate with the company and any other person, to ensure that statutory requirements concerning all learning materials are in line with current legislation i.e., GDPR, HSE and company policies and procedures.

Ensure that standards are met and improved in terms of quality of processes and administration in line with contractual and audit requirements.

Have an awareness of both internal and external customers, always communicating with them effectively and in a professional manner.

Always act in the best interests of Mears Group. Be observant and be confident to report any suspicious behaviour seen whilst working.
