Manufacturing Manager
Our client offers materials with unique quality but it also has a strong position in the natural gas market.

Our client is looking for an experienced business unit leader to support the Operations Manager to deliver on key manufacturing targets, driving business success and managing operations staff. The position has direct line management for three shift-teamleaders, overseeing 40 manufacturing operators on three shifts. It could be suitable for an experienced supervisor looking to take a step up. This role is day shift only, and site based.

**Key Responsibilities and Duties
Allocate activity and resources while achieving quality and safety standards
- Motivate and manage their team, including performance management, development, welfare, and target monitoring
- Increase productivity, quality, and delivery reliability
- Maintain records and systems to ensure that all information reporting is correct
- Lead by example and in line with the Freudenberg Guiding Principles and the Code of Conduct
- Be ambitious, with a view to building a long-term career at Freudenberg
- Communicate effectively and flexibly to team members and managers
- Show initiative and drive to get things done

**Essential experience requirements:
- 2 years leading a large operational team in a busy environment or strong academic background in management or manufacturing
- Use of lean management tools, for example six sigma, or 5s
- Comfortable using I.T. including but not limited to, Microsoft Office Package and ERP systems
- Training will be given

**The following would be desirable but not essential:
- Experience in a manufacturing environment
- Management qualification
- Health and Safety qualification (IOSH Managing Safely or similar)
- Experience of SAP

**Employment Type** - Permanent

**Salary** - £35,000 - £37,000 depending on experience

**Hours**- Monday - Friday 8am -16:30 (must be flexible to cover other shifts early and late)
