**What are we looking for?**
We are looking for an experienced bookkeeper to join our team. The success applicant will work closely with the managing partners in execution of duties and keeping the books.
**Job Role**:
The role would be required to deal with routine data entry, right up to management reporting. Duties will include, but are not restricted to, preparation of monthly and quarterly management reports, including profit & loss, balance sheet and cash flow reports; monitoring these against actuals and preparation of Accounts to trial balance for submission to accountants and for HMRC requirement.
**General duties will include**:
- Purchase ledger reconciliation
- Sales ledger reconciliation
- Bank accounts reconciliation
- VAT return - quarterly
- Break down and analyse details prior to inputting to Sage
- Adhoc invoicing
- Other bookkeeping duties as required
**Personal Qualities**
The successful applicant must have a clear understanding of accounts and payroll procedures, have experience in computerised data entry and have excellent Excel skills, experience, and skills to prepare financial statements, including accounting for prepayments and accruals, debtors and creditors, stocks, journal entries, depreciation charges and VAT.
- Consistent employments track record, with minimum 2-year bookkeeping experience
- AAT or equivalent qualification highly desirable
- Experience with common accounts software packages highly desirable
- Strong working knowledge of spreadsheets
- Payroll processing experience, with common payroll software knowledge desirable but not essential.
- Good attention to detail whilst working quickly
- Great communicator
- Good organizational skills
**Job Details**
- Working hours: 7 hours a week; come into office one day per week
