Your new role

As a Demand Portfolio Manager, you’ll be responsible for overseeing our Digital Services demand pipeline to ensure that initiatives from across the business are processed in a timely, efficient, and cost-effective manner.

You’ll act as an internal-facing resource providing support to the Digital Services community in the processing and delivery of Digital, Data & Technology requirements through the Digital Demand Process (DDP). You’ll also continue the development and embedmentof portfolio-wide standards whilst supporting the shaping of projects and programmes through the demand lifecycle.

What you’ll be leading on

You will be accountable for the management and continuous improvement of the Digital Demand Process, ensuring that the objectives of the process are met in both the short and long-term.
Monitoring the completion of tasks, capturing engagement and due diligence processes to ensure effective shaping and assurance of demand with a traceable audit history.
Responsible for the review and consolidation of demand resource and costs estimates to ensure demands are sufficiently financed, resourced and any interventions are timely and appropriate
Maintaining the quality and currency of data through regular housekeeping to ensure accurate reporting.
You will monitor and review demand management process performance and make recommendations based on trends and observations through data.
You will create and maintain regular reporting to the Leadership Team on bottlenecks and mitigations using data from the ServiceNow platform whilst using feedback for improvement.
You will support the Portfolio Leads and DS Leadership Team to ensure that demands are aligned to the priority models and business planning cycle to achieve a well-managed and strategically aligned, demand pipeline.
You will support all demand planning activities whilst working with colleagues to resolve identified resource or delivery gaps.
To be successful

Business Knowledge

Industry experience and/or accreditation in managing portfolios, programmes and projects and strong awareness of governance frameworks.
Experience of supporting delivery of IT/digital transformation programmes in a highly respected, and ideally, regulated organisation
Excellent communication and reporting skills to support the demand process at stakeholder meetings and other forums
Experience in demand management models, amending existing processes and planning and operationalising the stages of a new demand or service development
Functional Technical Skills

Ability to absorb, analyse and understand customer service requests and help align with defined strategies.
Proactive and can present compelling findings that inform wider decisions. Applies innovative approaches to resolve problems, whilst being able to influence senior stakeholders on demand approaches.
Accuracy and attention to detail, with the ability to consider both the tactical and strategic view to identify challenges and opportunities for improving service and process.
