**Summary**:
We are looking for two Systems Engineers to join a global business, which is developing IoT products and platforms that focus on the optimisation and control of energy consumption.

The main skills this business needs are Model based systems engineering experience. A bonus would be someone with exposure to electrical distribution, renewable energy, home generation (Solar etc) or EV charging.

**Specific accountabilities include**:

- To provide system level expertise to cross-functional development teams for the design, development, and support of new and existing products.
- To work closely with the product management team to understand and capture requirements, from both internal and external stakeholders to generate and maintain clear, unambiguous, achievable, and testable requirements.
- To assist colleagues in understanding and decomposing product and system behaviours.
- To work with project management to support project planning and estimation
- Provide systems expertise to inform broader architectural topics and strategic initiatives.

**Your Key Responsibilities**
- To support the translation of business and user needs into technical requirements.
- To develop and maintain system design artifacts for consumption by the global development teams.
- To work collaboratively with project team members to ensure the solution meets business and user needs.
- To influence external development dependencies, such as protocol development or Government working group initiatives

**About you**:

- Experience of working as part of a project team. A team player, comfortable engaging proactively with teams across the business
- Experience of the Systems/Software engineering lifecycle and commonly used tools
- A professional attitude with good written and verbal communications skills with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts effectively and good personal skills.
- An understanding of Basic project management skills i.e. using DOORS, Jira, Jammer

**Desirable requirements**:

- Previous experience as a Systems engineer, solution architect, product owner or business/systems analyst
- Experience working within a customer focused development environment.
- Experience of capturing, analysing and specify complex solutions to meet stakeholder requirements.
- Experience of IoT systems in the energy management space, either residential or commercial
