**The Opportunity**

We are looking for an **Officer of the Watch** to join our team working on a Dredger Vessel on a rotational 3 weeks on 3 weeks of shift pattern.

The role itself will see you joining at Langstone port and is a UK Coastal area of work. You’ll be supervising a team of x3 Able Bodied Seafarers and responsible for the safe navigation of the vessel whilst on watch, carrying and/or assisting dredging operations and maintaining bridge navigational & communications equipment. In addition, carrying out the maintenance and inspection of all Life Saving Equipment.

Keys aspects of the role include:

- You will serve as a member of the Deck Department under the supervision of the Chief Mate.
- You’ll hold responsibility for the safe navigation of the vessel whilst on watch, in accordance with international regulations, the practice of good seamanship and Master’s and Company policies.
- Responsible for maintaining bridge navigational and communications equipment.
- Help to ensure that the maintenance and inspection of all Life Saving Equipment (LSA) and Firefighting Equipment (FFE) on board, is in accordance with the ship’s Monthly Maintenance Schedule.

**Who you are**
- Experience working in a shipboard environment
- Experience working on a dredger vessel, desirable - not essential
- STCW II/1 Officer of the Watch Unlimited Certificate of Competency
- A valid ENG1 (medical fitness certificate) or accepted equivalent
