Severn & Wye Smokery Ltd is situated in one of the most beautiful parts of the Country, on the edge of the Royal Forest of Dean between two of England’s most celebrated salmon rivers - Severn & Wye.

As it would be expected from our location, we specialise in locally caught wild salmon, both fresh and smoked, as well as providing a full range of other smoked fish and poultry. It is also here that we practice the old-fashioned art of smoking over a blend of oak chips and chipped whiskey and calvados barrels to give our product a unique taste.

This approach means that we have an unrivalled reputation in the industry and we are proud to list among our customers many of the finest food halls, restaurants and hotels in the UK, including Harrods, Selfridges, Harvey Nichols and Fortnum & Mason.

We are currently seeking to recruit a dynamic, creative and highly organised Assistant Buyer with an interest in business and procurement. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing company as part of our highly skilled Supply Chain / Procurement team at our Head Office in Chaxhill, Westbury-on-Severn.

As an Assistant Buyer, you will be working within our Procurement department. This will allow you to understand and develop the purchasing systems and how they interact with the different areas of the business.

You will gain real, practical experience from day one, working with our managers and operational teams, learning and understanding the foundations of our business. Your skills will develop as you will assist in making sure we deliver the very best in customer service. You will learn about our products, how we deliver strong, customer orientated solutions, whilst continually improving quality, efficiency and reducing costs.

**To be successful in this Assistant Buyer role, you should have**:
