A manufacturing SME in Kendal are seeking an experienced Purchase Ledger Clerk to join their team. This role is based at their Head office and on site manufacturing facility in Kendal.

**Your new role as Purchase Ledger Clerk**:
As Purchase Ledger Clerk you will have the added opportunity to support the Financial Controller with various project assignments. This will include; invoice discounting, audit requirements, bank liaison and you will also be keen to assist with daily cash flow, forecasts, debtor and creditor position.

Key duties include:

- Matching and posting suppliers invoices into Opera 3
- Preparing monthly aged creditor reports & statement reconciliation
- Monitor cost allocation amongst departments
- Checking the accuracy of delivery notes, chasing credit notes if necessary
- Dealing with supplier queries
- Filing and archiving account payable transactions
- Responsible for monthly closure of P&L
