This is a hands-on role working with the Senior Store Person in the Finished Goods and Materials warehouse. This position will suit an organized, tidy, energetic and self motivated person who has previous experience of stores work.
**Job Description and responsibilities**:
- Plan and organise daily stores activities to implement the despatch of goods to customers.
- Monitor activities within the warehouse and stores.
- Implement Health and safety standards - ensuring compliance to legislation.
- Organize stores to a high standard to assist in the storage and location of products taking every step to preserve product quality and avoid damage/wastage.
- Set and implement exceptionally standards of tidiness and safety throughout.
- Ensure maintenance is carried out on equipment and property.
- Procure consumables at best value for Stores and Packaging activity.
- Carry out hands-on day to day order picking, despatch and replenishment duties.
- Implement perpetual daily stock counts and oversee periodic full stock takes.
- Communicate with the Production Planner/Manager and Sales Team frequently during shift to support the production plan and customer service standards.
- Flexible and positive attitude - ability to multitask within the team.
- Exceptional record keeping - highly proficient and diligent with stock records, stores related paperwork and computer records.
- Organised and able to plan own work effectively.
- Able to cope under pressure during busy periods.
**Essential Experience, Skills or Qualifications**
- Reach Truck license.
- Counter Balance license.
- Multidirectional (Combi-Lift) license is desirable though not essential.
- Experience of leading/managing a team.
- Confident with computers.
- Manual Lifting.
- Previous stores experience.
Pay: From £14.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
