**Role**:Warehouse Operative

**Salary: £10.65ph**

**Location**:Salford

**Hours**: 14.030 -22.30 Mon - Fri. TEMP covering long term sick.

Glu Recruit are recruiting for a well-known manufacturing company to assist in all aspects of the operation including production, stock control, goods inwards and transport duties.

**Main responsibilities**:

- Pick correct stock and quantity as per invoice.
- Placing stock in container to minimise damage, packing, and checking.
- Maintaining tidy shelves and aisles by correctly opening outers of stock.
- To accurately assemble TC/CYTO/CD as dictated by the invoice.
- To ensure that the cold chain 2-8c for assembling fridge items is maintained at all times as per the internal cold chain procedures.
- Ensure that all cold chain items are packaged in the correct manner using the relative bags and labels for identification purposes.
- Annotate all expiry dates onto customer invoices.
- Be aware of the requirements for Green Lane accounts.
- To report any variances outside of the cold chain immediately to the Shift Supervisor
- Scan all orders via checkouts where applicable.
- Pack goods into an appropriately sized carton/bag to give reduce transit damage with least labour and material costs.
- Reports to a Supervisor if stock is missing, out of date, damaged or dirty.
- Report to a Supervisor on problems hindering efficient and accurate assembly.
- Assist in checking in goods from suppliers by ensuring stock is correct to purchase orders.
- Assist in stock replenishment, scheduled stock takes, FEFO as per SOP
- Clearly identifies all discrepancies and problems and reports to a supervisor.
- Ensure stock is correctly rotated and located on relevant picking bin or overstock location as soon as possible, reporting any discrepancies of product descriptions or location to Supervisor.
- Ensure all excess stocks are returned to the shelves.
- Ensure all stock returned from customers has returned to the shelves after the returns process is complete
- Ensure picking shelves are never empty unless there is no stock available from the overstock bays.
- Report any incorrect stock description to Supervisor immediately and ensure prompt action is taken.
- Maintain picking shelves and associated gangways are in a tidy and clean state.
- Ensure descriptive labels on picking shelves (including bin numbers and overstock bay numbers) are correct and easily readable.
- Ensure stock is located in the correct bin whilst maintaining stock rotation at all times.
- Assist in maintaining a safe and clean working environment.
- Ensure Health and Safety issues are upheld at all times.
- Adhere to GDP standards at all times.
- Be receptive to further training requirements if necessary
- Assist with the warehouse printers where applicable.
- Adhere to all onsite SOP’s relating to goods inwards/stock control/production/transport.
- Adhere to manual handling techniques at all times.
- Ensure FLT is driven safely at all times.
- Ensure FLT daily check sheets are completed prior to first use
- Report any issues to a supervisor.
- Ensure carrier orders are packaged and labelled correctly prior to dispatch
- The ability to complete the required documentation correctly and efficiently
- Flexible approach to work
- Able to plan and prioritise effectively to meet deadlines
- The ability to work alone or as part of a team
