The Role
*

We are looking for a full-time finance assistant to join our busy finance team. This role offers the opportunity for an already experienced and proactive accounts assistant to develop their skills and gain greater autonomy whilst under the guidance of their line manager.
*

Main responsibilities include:
*

- Invoice processing and filing
- Maintaining expenses against jobs
- General admin duties i.e new client paperwork etc
- Monitoring daily communications and answering any queries from clients and suppliers within expected timescales
- Ensuring records and databases are up to date at all times
- Ability to prioritise and work under pressure to meet statutory deadlines for VAT, Payroll, Accounts
- Liaising and assisting team members as required
- Ensuring payments, amounts and records are correct
- Working with spreadsheets, sales and purchase ledgers
- Controlling credit and chasing debts
- Processing credit card expense
- Liaising with third party providers, clients and suppliers
- Updating and maintaining company forecast vs filemaker (an in house CRM system)

Skills, Knowledge and Experience
- You will have excellent attention to detail and have a strong understanding of accounting processes as well as being proactive in predicting client needs.
- You will be responsible for invoicing and collection of payments and must be able to respond to and develop excellent relationships with our client accounts payable.
- Confident with client interaction, in person, written and via telephone.
- Commercial awareness is essential.
- You will either be qualified through previous experience/study towards AAT or equivalent.
- Have the ability to work both individually as part of a team and to take responsibility for your own workload.
- Being able to work to strict timelines and accuracy in data input is essential.
- Good computer skills and understanding of cloud accounting practice software.
- Experience with Quick Books preferable but not essential as full training will be provided.
- Excellent multi-tasking ability.

**Salary**: Up to £26,000.00 per year
