Buyer

Our client is a looking to recruit a highly commercial apparel buyer with min 5yrs experience buying from established FE factories and developing new prospects both FE and closer to home.
- Liaising with in house design team and board of directors, performing well balanced range building across all products.
- Men’s and ladies casual product background needed.
- Identifying gaps within ranges and capitalising on new opportunities.
- Ability to source new fabric and trims as well as having experience sourcing more sustainable fabrications.
- Attend and drive internal design meetings with internal stakeholders
- Possess an ability to lead, motivate and inspire the team whilst executing ambitious strategies throughout each season
- Performing FE supplier visits and key customer account management in UK and Europe.
- Make introductions to new suppliers
- Source new product ranges to grow the brand across the UK and beyond. Work closely with the Senior Designers
- Management of any sourced products, ensuring the smooth and efficient running of this department.
- Negotiate with suppliers on prices
- Writing, placing, and tracking purchase orders ensuring timely delivery
- Forecast sales on core lines to ensure they are never out of stock and place orders accordingly
- Maintain buying spreadsheets and keep Open to Buy up to date
- Analyse sales figures, market trends and customer behaviour to determine product needs
