We are looking for self-motivated, passionate, hardworking individuals to join our team in a busy fast paced food store. This role involving moving quantities of food and some heavy lifting so you must be physically fit. ABLE TO DRIVE AN ADVANTAGE.

THE ROLE

You will be involved with all aspects of running our busy operation - manning the till, shelf filling, checking for sell by dates, quality control, bagging and labelling in compliance with environmental health and trading standards, keeping the market clean and tidy, ensuring used packaging is controlled and contained.

Loading and unloading the food in compliance with environmental health guidelines. Sorting and picking orders to our community pantries.

The MAIN DUTIES will be:

- Assist with the day to day running of our busy food shop as needed
- Must be physically fit to load/unload food on our vans
- Be self-motivated and work as a team with other staff and volunteers
- Ideally with a level 2 food hygiene certificate and a good knowledge of environmental health guidelines or training will be given
- Have good numeracy and literacy skills
