**The Role**

We’re looking for an experienced, self-motivated and engaging individual to join our new Network Build Team. Reporting into the Delivery Manager you will be responsible for the supervision of direct labour civils gangs undertaking blockage clearance, chamber build and duct installation across PIA and new build environments. You will be expected to take the lead, driving delivery on site whilst ensuring compliance with company and legislative health and safety and quality standards. It would be your responsibility to ensure that job packs, material and system requirements are all managed. Therefore, previous experience in a similar role is essential.

**Responsibilities**
- Supervision and coordination of civils activities undertaken by the direct labour civils gangs
- Scheduling and allocating the workstack via Smartsheet and Render
- Collaboratively committing to weekly THP targets alongside the Delivery Manager
- Assist the Delivery Manager and Project Coordinator with resourcing and planning for project delivery
- Ownership of work packs, works validation and site-specific planning in line with pre-construction information
- Run daily stand-up calls to discuss commitments / projected forecasts and completions
- Undertaking daily risk assessments sites ensuring necessary changes or requirements are captured and actioned
- Drive a safety first culture within the civils operations; coaching, supporting and mentoring operatives
- Ensuring correct documentation is available on site at all times such as RAMS, work packs, utility prints etc
- Overall responsibility for the site set-up and ongoing maintenance, with strong focus on NRSWA and CDM compliance
- Ownership of material requirements for allocated works to ensure materials are available as required for build
- Liaising with stakeholders, carrying out site meetings with representatives to discuss works, permit conditions and agree requirements to ensure smooth delivery of the network
- Organisation and resource management of the civils teams to ensure efficient and effective working
- Collaborating with internal teams, client and local authorities. As well as dealing with members of public in a polite and professional manner.
- Close working with Delivery Coordinators to ensure that correct information is fed back from site as required
- Communicating with the management team to ensure timely escalation of risks as they arise
- Auditing in life works to always ensure compliance with company quality and H&S standards
- Ensure asbuilt information back from the field is right first time and communicated in a timely fashion

**Requirements**:

- Experience in street works working environment and an in-depth knowledge of New Roads and Street Works Act 1991.
- Must have a valid NRSWA Supervisor qualification (civils units)
- Good knowledge of Health & Safety specifically CDM
- Previous experience in a similar role (Civils Supervisor minimum)
- Understanding of Local Authority permit to work Schemes and FPN’s
- Experience conducting H&S / quality audits, managing SHEQ on site
- Problem solver, experienced supervisor that is able to suggest design changes/deal with issues as they arise
- Strong leadership skills and ability to set good examples and motivate and mentor others

- Full UK Driving Licence
