Tool Setter

**Job Title**: Tool Setter - Permanent
**Location**: Leicester
**Salary (p/h)**: £12.48 (Inclusive of shift allowance)
**Working hours**:6am - 6pm Monday to Thursday
Are you a tool setter? Do you have experience with CNC Milling and CNC Turning? If so, our client, a leading precision engineering business, is looking for a Tool Setter/Pre-Kitter for their newly refurbished, state of the art facilities in Leicester. The rolewill involve ensuring the timely preparation of tooling to support production demands and requirements across both milling and turning disciplines within the production department.
**What will I be doing when I join you as a Tool Setter?**:

- Supporting Milling and Turning disciplines within the production department by ensuring that tooling is prepared and organized to use on the relevant machines.
- Organising and ensuring the timely preparation of tooling to support production demands and requirements.
- Working from operation set up packs and work instructions and collecting prescribed tools from tool stores and assemble as directed.
- Assembling tools into holders as per set up pack instructions.
- Obtaining gauges and checking calibration dates.
- Presenting tooling packages to machine operators.
- Monitoring tooling kits and replenishing them when required.
- Returning fixtures to correct locations on completion of operations.
- Stripping and cleaning holders and identifying tooling that needs to be refurbished.

**The successful Tool Setter will have**:

- Confident preparing, selecting and organising tooling for CNC Milling and CNC Turning operations
- A strong understanding of CNC Milling and Turning and ideally previous experience within these disciplines.
- Experience in a similar role, with a proven track record of completing the expectations of the role to a high standard
- Excellent attention to detail and level of accuracy
- Initiative to work individually as well as working within a team
