**Maintenance Supervisor** - The Role:
The Dragon is seeking to appoint a Maintenance Supervisor to join the Estates Department. This role will focus on carrying out maintenance and general repairs across our estate with particular responsibility for dealing with plumbing and heating issues andaspects. The Head of Estates has recently created this position to support the implementation of the day-to-day reactive works which arise to ensure that the Dragon is as fully operational and functional as possible.

The Maintenance Supervisor will be responsible on a daily basis to the Maintenance Manager.

**Maintenance Supervisor **- Key Responsibilities:

- To carry out maintenance and general repairs across our estate with particular responsibility for dealing with plumbing and heating issues / aspects
- Supporting the supervision of contractors carrying out both repairs and statutory servicing maintenance and checks, ensuring the work is carried out to the standard expected by the Dragon
- To occasionally drive a school minibus in support of pupil transport requirements
- Making recommendations for improvements and new work to the Maintenance Manager and/or Head of Estates
- Ensuring that all departmental (workshop and storage) areas are kept clean and tidy at all times and that tools/equipment are safely stored and serviceable;
- To achieve the above tasks efficiently and effectively the Maintenance Supervisor will work in a fully hands on role as part of maintenance team
- The post holder will establish, maintain and account for a stock of appropriate tools and protective clothing at the School’s expense. The post holder is also responsible (with the Maintenance Manager) for ensuring all maintenance staff are trained appropriately

**Maintenance Supervisor **- You:

- Trade qualification or relevant experience in plumbing (e.g. City & Guilds Level 2, Part P)
- Driving Licence
- Health and Safety Awareness
- Experience in general maintenance or other maintenance responsibilities
- Ability to meet and deal tactfully and courteously with colleagues and contractors
- Ability to understand complex written and oral instructions
- Ability to work in a planned and managed way
- Self
- motivated with an ability to use own initiative
- PC literate (Microsoft Office Packages)
- Able to demonstrate a team player philosophy and contribute towards its success and encourage inclusive participation
- Able to demonstrate customer service skills and a dedicated approach to resolving problems
- To work on call when required
