**Overview**
At Burntwood Leisure Centre (Active Lichfield), we offer a friendly working environment that brings variety each and every day. This role is ultimately about growing the membership numbers and increasing centre income. However, aside from selling memberships to new prospects this role is also about being a point of contact for our membership base, to give advise and support. Aiding to our membership retention. We are looking for someone who has strong interpersonal and customer facing skills. We are looking for someone who can be a representative for Burntwood Leisure Centre and the Active Lichfield brand. Thus assisting the centre to build an excellent rapport with new and existing customers.
**Key responsibilities**
- Assisting the Sales Manager in monitoring and measuring membership recruitment and retention.
- To support membership growth by using the sales process to ensure sales and income targets are achieved.
- To generate excitement and passion for health and fitness to optimise all sales opportunities.
- Conduct face-to-face sales appointments where you will build positive rapport with customers to sell a membership and get them started on their fitness journey. Conduct follow-ups where necessary.
- Follow the process for all new Swim School enquiries, to promote our Learn to Swim programme and maximise sales opportunities. Pro-actively understand our customer’s needs and monitor and report on their feedback, in order to drive participation levels.
- To work closely with members of the marketing team and liaise with other members of staff to maximise the sales, PR and awareness opportunities. Assist where needed with social media, for example, answering enquiries via our social media channels.
- Set up and renew contract bookings, communicate with teams and be a point of contact throughout their usage.
- Raise invoices for contracted bookings and ensure debtors are chased
**Desirable Characteristics**
Confident speaking on the phone; making outbound calls to follow up enquiries and answer incoming calls.
Strong understanding of Microsoft Office
To contribute positively to the effectiveness and efficiency of the teams in which they work.
Experience of sales desirable.
Have a team orientated approach, able to work across any organisation boundaries while supporting of the work of colleagues
Time management
Excellent customer service skills

**Salary**: £18,770.00-£23,150.00 per year
