Senior Behavioural Science Specialists

**Location/base**: Location to be agreed

Through an exciting partnership with Transport for Wales (TfW) we’re recruiting a Senior Behavioural Science Specialist to enable, encourage and expand the use of behavioural science to support implementation of Llwybr Newydd: a new Wales transport strategy. The roles will contribute highly specialist expertise to the development, implementation and evaluation of a range of activities, and the development of capability - so we need experienced and motivated specialists.

**Closing Date**: 16/04/2023

**Interview Date**: 26/04/2023

The post will be part of our dynamic and dedicated team in the Behavioural Science Unit, - with a focus on changing transport behaviours through shaping initiatives and developing services based on behavioural science principles; reviewing existing activity and investment using behaviour change approaches to maximise impact; and growing TfW’s capability to support this shift, building on existing training, information provision and cultural integration of behaviour change across the organisation.

Our agile programme and project approach provides a variety of work, strong team links, and great opportunities.

Applicants must have the ability to respond innovatively in a dynamic and expanding field of work and will need excellent demonstrable interpersonal and communication skills.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Public Health Wales is the National Public Health Institute in Wales. Our vision is 'Working to achieve a healthier future for Wales'. We play a pivotal role in driving improvements in population health and well-being, reducing health inequalities, improving healthcare outcomes, protecting the public and supporting the development of health in all policies across Wales.

Never more has public health been so important as we come through the Coronavirus pandemic, face the challenges of the cost-of-living crisis and tackle and prevent the harmful effects of climate change. We are an organisation that places ourselves at the heart of supporting people, communities, partners, and the Welsh Government in addressing these major challenges and providing solutions for action.
