**Glazerite UK Group Ltd.** are a nationwide leading fabricator of uPVC windows and doors. We currently have an exciting opportunity for a new **Transport Planner **to join our team based in Wellingborough.

Working with the Group Transport and Logistics Manager, we are looking for someone to manage the workloads of our drivers and loaders to ensure collections and deliveries are made as effectively as possible with regard to cost, efficiency and legal requirements. It can be a busy role requiring patience and some flexibility in hours, but if you think you can rise to the challenge, we would love to hear from you.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Plan and co-ordinate all transport routes mainly throughout the UK taking account of cost and time efficiencies and availability of drivers and vehicles.
- Monitor and track Collections and Deliveries, resolving any issues, referring them to the manager where appropriate.
- Answer calls and taking ownership of any queries to make sure they are dealt with in a reasonable timescale.
- Complete any KPI’s and reports requested ensuring accuracy and an appropriate level of detail.
- Monitor Load weights are within the legal guidelines and taking any required action to deal with any concerns.
- Other duties as reasonably required by the Company, including driving duties from time to time e.g. to collect a driver of a broken vehicle, or to pick up an item etc.

**PERSON SPECIFICATION**
- Ideally the role holder will have knowledge and previous experience of a similar role in a similar environment though training can be given if someone possesses the relevant skills.
- Competent and confident IT skills, particularly Microsoft Systems and with the ability to learn other systems as necessary.
