We are delighted to announce a new position is available for a trainee freight forwarder and ship’s agent to join our small team at Seaway Logistics. The role covers general freight forwarding, customs clearance and ship’s agent duties.

Seaway Logistics is an independent shipping and freight forwarding company based in Hull, our main activities are arranging regular shipments by sea from the UK to Eastern Europe and the Baltic States, general freight forwarding and ship’s agency services.

**We are looking for someone who is**:
Ø Honest and trustworthy

Ø Has clear communication skills both verbally and written

Ø Can work well in a small team.

Ø Approachable

Ø Adaptability

**You must have**:
Ø Driving licence

Ø Experience in using Microsoft Excel, Word etc.

**Responsibilities of the role**:
Ø Managing export bookings for our regular shipments to Eastern Europe and the Baltic States.

Ø Completion of import and export customs clearances through ASM Sequoia

Ø Creating GMRs through government GVMS system.

Ø Producing all shipping documents in line with industry standards.

Ø Arranging vessel arrival with port authority, communication with ship owners and stakeholders

Ø Visiting vessels with shipping documents, statement of facts etc.

Ø Managing cargo deliveries into our storage area

In this role, you will work closely with a team of dedicated professionals to ensure that shipments are handled efficiently and accurately.
