This company is arguably the market-leader in this specialist sector and is enjoying phenomenal year on year growth. As a result, a need has arisen within this expanding team, in order to service the ever-growing number of enquiries from its panel of UK-Widebrokers.

During our briefing,we learned that staff within this company are encouraged to operate outside of their comfort zone to realise their full potential. The hiring manager cited numerous examples of staff who started within this position and progressed into a range of other areasincluding Senior Underwriting roles, Business Development Manager positions and Leadership posts. In fact, the company is in the process of looking at succession planning at Team Leadership level for those who aspire to work within management.
Providing expertise across a range of products including Annual Construction, Project Construction, Plant, Computer and Engineering Inspection, you will ensure that enquiries are dealt with swiftly, in order to ensure maximum take-up across the broker panel.You’ll be involved with renewals, new business quotations and endorsements, whilst building strong working relationships with intermediary partners.
You must have some previous experience within Engineering AND / OR Construction insurance. Ideally, you’ll be from an insurer environment, although our client is willing to consider brokers who have had good exposure to these specialist lines. Just as importantly,you’ll be customer-focused, with strong communication skills, and the ability to work to tight deadlines. You’ll be working in an energetic and driven team, and therefore, you’ll be an enthusiastic team player, who enjoys working to shared goals and objectives.
Whilst this is a major player within the Engineering & Construction sector, it still very much has the feel of an independent business where people are not over-looked. As such, many staff within this firm much prefer this environment to what is typically found within corporate, composite insurers as it gives themexposure to more areas of the business.
In terms of flexible-working, it doesn’t get much more flexible than this. Our client’s head office is based in Manchester, however typically, you will only need to be in the office once a month for team meetings, and occasionally for training sessions etc.Having said this, you are welcome in the office as much as you like, and a good number of the team enjoy coming in once or twice a week.
