We have an exciting new opportunity for a Data-focused individual looking to kick start their career within the industry

This opportunity is ideal for a dynamic individual currently pursuing or graduating from a Mathematics or STEM-based degree. It's also well-suited for those with a keen interest in these areas and a strong desire to expand their knowledge.

**About The Role**

You will collaborate closely with Perspectum's Research and Development team to oversee and enhance the data collection and analysis processes for our clinical trials. Your day to day duties will include:

- Perform data cleaning, resolve data queries, and conduct reconciliation activities to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
- Support database testing and maintenance efforts to uphold system functionality and efficiency.
- Drive process optimisation initiatives to enhance data management workflows and procedures.
- Maintain study databases, ensuring data integrity and accessibility for research purposes.
- Conduct thorough data cleansing and quality control checks to maintain high standards of data accuracy.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to resolve data discrepancies and ensure consistency across datasets.
- Generate insightful data listings and reports to support decision-making processes.
- Contribute innovative ideas for process improvement, fostering a culture of continuous enhancement.
- Undertake additional general and administrative tasks as required to support team objectives and operations.

**About You**:
To excel in this position, you'll need excellent attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate and comprehensive records. Your capacity to work both independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced environment will be key to your success. Strong organisational and time-management skills, coupled with excellent written and verbal communication abilities, are essential for this role.

You will have experience (working or studying) within Life Sciences, Health Sciences, Biomedical Sciences, Clinical Research, or similar disciplines, you will be eager to learn and support the Research Analysis Services team. Your will also ideally have:

- Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field such as Life Sciences, Health Sciences, Biomedical Sciences, Clinical Research, or similar disciplines.
- Specialised training or certification in Clinical Data Management (e.g., Clinical Data Management Certificate Program).
- Coursework or certification in Data Management, Biostatistics, Epidemiology, or Clinical Trials Management.
- Training in Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines and regulatory requirements pertaining to clinical data management.
- Additional coursework or certification in database management, statistical analysis software (e.g., SAS, R), and electronic data capture (EDC) systems may also be beneficial.

We see our internships as a two-way street. While we are committed fostering your growth and skills within our corporate environment, we also empower you to take ownership of your projects where you feel comfortable in doing so. To make this works, we simply ask that you are:

- Ready and willing to work from our Oxford office for a minimum of 3 days a week, as proximity is essential for collaboration.
- Have the capacity to work full-time hours (37.5 hours per week) without requiring UK work sponsorship.
- Available to work for the entire 12-month internship period (we are flexible on start dates)
