We are looking for an apprentice gardener to join our expanding business. The job involves 32 hours work and 8 hours off the job training at sparsholt college in Winchester.
The apprentice will partake on a 2 year Horticulture/Landscape Operative level 2 course
Pay has potential to increase throughout year 1 and is increased to substantially after year 1.

**Duties**:
Tasks will vary on a daily basis as determined by the Supervising Gardener and will include:
**Developing gardens**
Soft landscaping
General maintenance
Lawn cutting, strimming, hedge cutting, borders, rose gardens, fruit trees, leaf blowing.
**Border maintenance**
Digging, forking, soil cultivation, planting, watering, feeding, spraying, raking, hoeing, weeding, edging, deadheading, pruning & training, bulb planting, propagation, seed sowing and composting.
Carrying out all aspects of ground maintenance in keeping with good horticultural practice to specified standards.
To be aware of Health and Safety requirements noting that all duties must be carried out to comply with current Health & Safety legislation and best practice.

**Salary**: £6.00-£7.50 per hour
