We are recruiting for an exciting opportunity for an experienced buyer within a manufacturing environment. The primary responsibility of this role is to purchase materials, components, supplies and services to support the operation.

**Key responsibilities**
- Issue purchase orders according to demand and incoming requisition forms
- Understand production demands to be able to analyse demand and adjust orders
- Review unacknowledged / late order reports for your vendors
- Review shortage report and complete necessary actions to avoid production shortages
- Manage vendor warranty claims
- Qualify new vendor capacities based on set qualifications and eliminate underperforming suppliers
- Challenge vendors quotes and drive cost down; report cost reductions

**Key Skills**
- 2-4 years in purchasing role within a manufacturing environment
- Strong written, verbal, analytical and interpersonal skills
- Experience using an ERP system
- Proven negotiation skills
