Job purpose

To assist with a variety of tasks which will enable the person who needs care and support to live their personal and social life according to their wishes and interests.

About the employer

Our client is a 46-year-old female living in the West Park area of Wolverhampton who is looking to recruit a Personal Assistant to provide social support with accessing the local community.

Main duties

**Social duties**:

- Keep in touch and socialise with family and friends
- Attend medical appointments if required
- Support to access the local community
- support with accessing West Park for walks

Type of person that you/they are looking for
- **Values**: Someone that is honest, reliable, punctual, non-judgemental, ability to build good relationships based on trust and respect, flexible, adaptable, easy going, able to work alone, positive, willingness to travel, understands equality & diversity.
- **Specific requirements**: someone with previous experience of working with individuals with Mental Health needs

Hours of work: 8 hours per week.

Rate of pay: £11.30 per hour

Skills, qualifications, and experience

**Essential**:

- Driving licence
- Car and appropriate insurance
- Previous experience of working with individuals with Mental Health needs
- Confidentiality
- Good at building relationships

**Preferred**:

- Female Personal Assistant
- Good communicator
- A good listener
- Ability to support people with complex Mental Health needs
