**HGV Mechanic - Clarke Transport**
Clarke Transport is a family business - one of the leading privately owned multi-service transport organisations in the UK. Due to an increase in workload, the business now requires an experienced HGV Machanic at our Vehicle Maintenance Unit in Oldbury, West Midlands. Working as a key member of the VMU team, you will carry out routine maintenance, fault diagnosis and repairs as required, ensuring our vehicles are maintained and repaired to the highest standards.
**As a HGV Mechanic your role will involve**:
- Service and repair of heavy and light commercial vehicles
- MOT preparation and inspections work on vehicles and trailers
- Fault diagnosis of both mechanical and electrical systems
- Attending breakdown incidents where required
- Working within H&S best practices promoting a safety-first culture
- Employing a 'right-first-time' approach to any task
- Ensuring consistent quality of work within appropriate job timings
- Timely completion of all specific company and official paperwork
**The Package**
- Shifts 0600 - 1500 & 1400 - 2300 (1 hr Break) Monday to Friday
- Salary £37,300 per annum OTE
- **£16.64 - NO HGV LICENCE**:
- **£17.94 - WITH HGV LICENCE**:
- 20 Days plus 8 statutory holidays (28 days in total)
- Additional Holiday after 4 years’ service - Extra Day for every additional year’s service up to a maximum of 5 extra days
