Vocational Coach

Our Day Services provide an extensive range of innovative, person centred leisure, vocational and work based activities, in a variety of settings to adults with Learning Disabilities, Autism, Epilepsy and other complex needs

Our Land Based Services are designed to provide and facilitate a range of innovative and meaningful, work based, vocational, leisure, sensory and social opportunities within the following areas, horticulture, conservation, animal care, garden maintenanceand Woodcraft.

We are very excited to be able to offer several new exciting opportunities for Vocational Coaches to work within the different areas of this amazing service.

You will be an integral part of the frontline staff at Land Based Services.

We are looking for experienced, highly motivated and organised individuals with good communication skills and team working skills, who can co-ordinate, develop and deliver ongoing programmes of work, activities to a small group of service usersthat willsupport them to access all areas of the service providing them with the opportunity on a day to day basis to undertake horticultural, gardening, conservation, woodcraft and animal care tasks, whilst promoting self-esteem, social skills, inclusion, skill developmentand increased independence not forgetting the importance of team work, making friends and having fun and a positive experience.

In addition you will ensure care plans are up to date and risk assessments are completed and reviewed as and when required. You will also provide leadership and supervision to Support Workers.

Experience/qualifications in one of the following animal care/management, garden maintenance, horticulture, forestry or conservation would be desirable

A positive approach, can do attitude, strong team player and the ability to work with mínimal supervision at times is essential.

Due to the expansion of the David Lewis Land Based Services, we are recruiting Vocational Coach to work with the people we support.

**37.5 hours per week**

**£22,081.14 per annum**

**The role will be working 5 days a week Mon-Fri 08.30-16.30hrs**

We have a successful track record built up over 100 years with expertise in specialist residential, education, day opportunities and clinical and therapeutic services

Our specialist school and college is part of an education, day opportunities and residential community.

Our School is for 11-19 year olds and rated **GOOD** by Ofsted

We also have a college onsite for 16-25 year olds with an Ofsted rating of **OUTSTANDING**

Residential services for adults, either living in accommodation at our 165 acres in Warford or in one of our houses in a local town or village in Cheshire.

Adult day opportunities which develop social and vocational skills with the potential to lead to employment opportunities.

Access to therapy, nursing, medical and behaviour support if appropriate to an individual’s needs.

David Lewis provides care 24 hours per day, 365 days per year. Hence, the post does require working early, late and weekend shifts as required.
