**Role Title: Vehicle Specialist**

**Rate: £700 per day via Umbrella (Inside IR35)**

**Location: Farnborough (hybrid)**

**Contract Length: 6 month Contract**

**Summary**:
**Key Accountabilities**:

- Ensure that customers' requirements and tasks are fully understood, and that problems and issues are reliably identified at the outset. Take a proactive approach to Customer relationships.
- Provide technical leadership to the Bid Managers and Solution Leads in the construction of work programmes, including their costing and scheduling.
- Lead and encourage an open and honest business and technical assurance culture, contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Provide technical leadership to programmes using a thorough understanding of vehicle design and performance characteristics as well as effective trials techniques.
- Ensure that a methodical and thorough approach is provided to programmes for the recording and reporting of accurate data obtained during trials and assessments.
- Provide technical guidance and support to the Head of Site for the ongoing management, maintenance and development of the facility.

**Key Capabilities/Knowledge**:

- Knowledge and experience of vehicle assessment principles and the technical assurance of safe and efficient vehicle trials. Knowledge of the military vehicle domain, in particular their use and limitations.
- Demonstrate good interpersonal, influencing, and analytical and team leadership skills.
- Ability to quickly understand the broad and diverse technical capabilities that a multidisciplinary project team delivers and understand the implications of the development and sustainment of capability and contract delivery.

**Experience & Qualifications**:

- A first degree in Science or Engineering, or an equivalent, nationally recognised, professional qualification, with experience working in the domain and backed up with a tangible track record of achievement and technical leadership.
- Experience with the operational characteristics of vehicles (military or commercial) and, in particular, trials and testing techniques is essential.
- A full UK driving licence is essential.
