We're looking for a proactive, creative and partnership focused person to join the Environment Planning and Engagement Department. We can offer you opportunities to showcase your excellent communication and influencing skills and be a key player in the delivery of our ambitions for Lancashire.
Your ability to work collaboratively, build trusting relationships, influence ways of working and maintain networks at all levels of the organisation will be critical to success.
We need an experienced person who will:

- Keep abreast of new initiatives, policies and legislation that will impact the area and understand what this means for our business and our partners.
- Drive collaborative working by:

- Joining similar activities and conversations - internally and externally
- Seeking innovative ways of working
- Seeking innovative funding mechanisms
- Support and facilitate integration
- Provide leadership and support to the Environment Planning and Engagement community
- Lead our engagement with existing bodies, including the Local Nature Partnership, and Local Enterprise Partnership.

You will also be able to contribute to:

- Strategic thinking within our Area Leadership Team
- Supporting wider business activities, including coaching and mentoring

Responding to incidents is a central part of what we do. You will be required to have an incident role and make yourself available to respond to incidents, or provide business continuity support during an incident. This may attract an additional payment and full training and alternative working arrangements will be available to support you with your incident role.
- The team- The Environment Planning & Engagement teams value and support each other to be ourselves and be the best we can. Your role will report directly to the EPE Manager and you will work alongside the Senior Strategic Partnership Advisor for Cumbria.
You will have a broad remit to develop and steer the strategy and approach to delivering for the environment.
- Experience/skills required- We are looking for:

- A sound understanding of partnership working, the benefits it delivers and the work it involves.
- Excellent communication skills and an eye for detail.
- Proactive problem-solving skills that mean you can work with others to deliver improvements to ways of collaborative working.
- Networking skills that enable you to build and maintain relationships with colleagues across all levels of the business, and with external partners.
- Someone who can seek opportunities to deliver our organisational goals alongside and through others.
- Some knowledge of innovative finance would be advantageous.
