This is a fantastic opportunity for a Quality Control Technician to join a well-recognised, global provider of laboratory and pharmaceutical equipment. Their systems are installed worldwide to support research in drug discovery and regenerative medicine.
The successful Quality Control Technician will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of products and consumables are manufactured to the agreed customer specifications. It will require a good eye for detail and knowledge and experience of workingin an electro-mechanical engineering/technical environment. Ideally you will have previous experience completing inspections and following a fixed Quality Control process accurately.
In order to ensure that the products are repeatedly produced to the highest possible quality levels, every product undergoes quality control testing prior to customer delivery and is independently implemented by the Quality team. The role of the QualityControl Technician is a key element to delivering products that are fit for purpose, free of defect and exceeds customer expectations
Quality Control Technician Requirements:
- Previous inspection/Quality Control experience
- Background working in a technical/engineering environment
- Some knowledge of electro-mechanical products
- Ability to inspect products, both cosmetically and functionally
- Strong documentation skills and previous experience raising non-conformance reports
- A keen eye for detail
- Experience of working within a GMP environment
Quality Control Technician Responsibilities:
- Carry out fixed QC processes accurately, recording and filing data.
- Ability to safely and accurately use a range of hand tools and simple test jigs.
- Entering batch information and accurate data into the production records.
- Liaising with the Consumables Lead to overcome any issues / variances / concerns with the manufacturing process.
- Prioritizing time / tasks to compliment an effective and efficient production output.
- Flexibility to tackle other tasks from time to time as required.
- Ensure that the 10 basic GMP requirements are observed where applicable including formal product/ system release approvals if appropriate.
- Report process non-conformances and quality issues in accordance with the relevant process maps and recording media.
