Due to internal progression, they are looking for a Junior/Trainee Design Engineer to join their team.

You may already have some experience, or you may have done a design course in College or School or have a passion for Design in general and be seeking a role where you can develop these skills.

**Role Title: Planning and Design**

**Summary**:
Working within the CAD Department you will be part of a close-knit and dedicated team completing precise drawings for large commercial clients. As well as working with the kit list and specification for the site.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience:
**Required**
- Teamwork, Organisational Skills
- Communication with team and remote engineers on site
- Ability to work within a fast-paced environment
- Customer service experience - liaising with customers on the phone when required
- Practical experience with using Microsoft Excel, Word etc
- Eagerness to learn and develop skills

**Desirable**
- Experience with AutoCAD (or having done a design based course or have genuine interest in this field)

**General Role**:
An attention to detail is extremely important within this role. Using AutoCad you will work within a small supportive team and be trained to complete high quality and accurate drawings for large commercial clients in a fast-paced environment.

Training on use of CAD is provided, but proficiency in use of computer programmes is an essential basic skill for this role. Competency in use of Microsoft Excel and Word are essential.

Time management and the ability to work within a team and independently are key skills as drawings must be completed in a timely manner, to prevent backlog and delays to customers.

Confidence to communicate effectively with a wide range of departments (engineers and project management) is key to ensuring plans and key documents are sent and received to ensure works can be carried out and regulatory standards met.
