**About the role**:
Key responsibilities include:

- Implementation of the SEND policy across the whole school
- Raising the achievement for pupils with SEND
- Liaising with pupils, staff, parents, external agencies, governors and other schools to co-ordinate the best possible SEND provision available
- Coordinating and monitoring the provision of SEND across the school ensuring provision for pupils with SEND is met
- Keeping SEND high profile and an integral part of the strategic development of the school’s development plan (being an active member of SLT)
- Ensuring the school carries out its statutory responsibilities regarding pupils with Educational Health Care Plans (EHCPs)
- Monitoring the impact of teaching and learning activities on the progress made by pupils with SEND
- Support the development of high achieving classrooms which supports and fosters the achievement of pupils with SEND
- Leading staff development and support teachers in ensuring that all pupils with SEND receive Quality First Teaching
