£ 10.00 to £10.50 paye inclusive of holiday pay per hour

Working Days and Hours: 07:00 - 15:00 or 12:00 - 20:00 Monday to Sunday (rostered).
Job Summary
To provide an essential service that will ensure all wards and departments have adequate and timely supplies of clean linen, patient meals and medical gases to support excellent delivery of patient care. To maintain records of equipment and furniture allocation.To undertake any ad-hoc duties required as part of this role such as: collection/ delivery of furniture for office moves, distribution of pharmacy goods, clearance of goods from the staff accommodation and appropriate disposal of condemned items/ waste. Pleasenote this role will require medium to heavy lifting and movement of goods.
**Duties**:
- Daily delivery and collection of linen trolleys/ cages, meal trolleys and medical gases to and from all clinical areas. This will involve the movement of medium to heavy equipment.
- Respond to requests for ad-hoc jobs and record these requests for tracking and audit purposes.
- Inform the Logistics Team Leaders of any day-to-day issues or risk delivering the service required and inform them of any training issues that are identified.
- To participate in team meetings, training events and professional development activities as deemed appropriate.
- Change clean and dirty HSDU trolleys and any HSDU boxes to/ from the clinical areas.
- Deliver Pathology reports to all wards/ clinical areas.
- Undertake duties for the Post Team outside of their normal working hours.
- Support the Stores & Logistics Team Leaders.
- Ensure a safe and positive working environment for all.
- Report any potential risks, initiating appropriate action/investigation through the risk management system. Seek advice from the Stores & Logistics Manager when appropriate.
- Ensure customers receive a high quality, prompt and efficient service.
- Liaise with the appropriate heads of department adhering to local Policies and practices when working in other departments.
- Behave courteously and professionally at all times and seek to ensure the highest level of service is provided by the Logistics Team.
- Ensure compliance with the Trusts Health and Safety guidelines.
- Ensure all Policies and Procedures are adhered to.

- Tug driver and Medical Gas training will be provided
